Why do I get an error when install RevLim on a Vista computer?

Reason: User Account Control (UAC) is on.

Fix: Go to User Accounts in the Control Panel and turn it off. You can turn it back on after the software is installed.

Why do I get an error when I preview or print?

Reason: A file is not registered.

Fix: Register the dao360.dll

Windows XP:

Go to your Start button; click on Run and copy\paste the following:

 Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao360.dll"

This will force Window to register the dao360.dll file
If it registered, you will get a message saying so.

Why do I have "i.e. load library failed" error?

Reason: You must have Windows Internet Explorer installed on your computer.

Fix: Download and install it if you don’t have it.

If you still have the problem after installing Internet Explorer, you need to e-mail Darren Odell at DarrenO@sscal.com. Attach the st6unst.log file so it can be analyzed. It will be in the RevLim folder on your computer. C:\ProgramFiles\RevLim\RL000

I need to uninstall RevLim or move it to a new computer. How do I save my data?

Uninstalling and reinstalling will delete your data. Make sure you save it first.

Save the revlim.mdb file - the default location is C:\Program Files\School Services of California\RevLim 9.0 (2007-08) or C:\ProgramFiles\School Services of California\RevLim 7.0 (2006-07) to a new folder.

Why am I getting errors while I am installing RevLim 7.0 or later on a Windows 98 computer?

Reason: RevLim 7.0 or later does not run on Windows 98.

Why do I get a runtime error when I preview or print Form K12?

Reason: Schedule Z is open but not filled out.

Fix: Fill out schedule Z or delete it from your data set. To delete it, click the Delete button, put a
checkmark next to schedule Z, and highlight the data set you want to delete it from.

Why didn't the Global Variables take affect?

Reason: You didn't click on the Done button before previewing or printing.

Fix: Click on the Done button to register any changes you made in the form.

Why can't I see the last line in on the global variable when I preview a schedule or form?

Reason: You are likely to have your screen resolution set at 640 x 480

Fix: Change the screen resolution to 800 x 600, or drag your taskbar down (out of the way) so you
    can see the last line.

To change the screen resolution, go to the Control Panel and click on display. Click on the Settings
Tab. Find ware it says Screen area. Drag the bar to the right until it displays 800 x 600 under the
    bar. Click the Apply button.

The data set I made is gone. I tried to make a new one with the same name, but it won't work either.

Reason: Sometimes the data set can become corrupt. The new data set can not have the same name
as the corrupted set unless it is recompiled.

Fix: E-mail the files revlim.mdb to Darren Odell at DarrenO@sscal.com. He will rebuild
them. You will find the files in C:\Program Files\School Services of California\RevLim10.0 (2008-09)
or C:\ProgramFiles\School Services of California\RevLim9.0 (2007-08) to a new folder.

Why are there only blank lines on the page when I preview a schedule or form?

Reason: Your computer's video card must support at least 256 colors. The video driver settings may
be set to 16 colors or it may not support more then 16 colors.

Fix: To change the color setting, go to the Control Panel and then click on Display. Click on the
Settings Tab. Under Color, choose at least 256 colors. If you do not have a choice, you may have the
wrong driver or your video card may not support more than 16 colors. Ask your computer
    technician.

Why do I get an error when I click on Help?

Reason: Clicking on Help brings up the RevLim support webpage. You need to be connected to the Internet to view the web pages.

Fix: Connect to your Internet dial-up account before clicking on the help menu.
