How can I view the reports in PowerPoint?

The software was not made to export to PowerPoint but there is a way. Use report export and export it to Word. In Word make any need edits then select all and copy. In PowerPoint click paste special under edit on the tool bar. Paste it as a “Picture (Window Metafile)”.  You may have to resize it. You can also ungroup it if needed.

Why do I get a “Runtime 3170 couldn’t find installable ISAM” error when I try to start the main program “Building UFB Components”?

Reason: A file is not register on the computer.

Fix: Go to your Start button, click on Run, then copy and paste the following line:

Regsvr32 "C:\windows\system32\Msxbse35.dll

This will force Windows to register the Msxbse35.dll file. If it registered, you will get a message saying so.

* Some computers have a winnt folder instead of a windows folder. In that case use the following line to complete the task above.

Regsvr32 "C:\winnt\system32\Msxbse35.dll

Why do I get a “Runtime 429 Active X component can’t create the object” error when I try to start the main program “Building UFB Components”?

Reason: A file is not register on the computer.

Fix: Go to your Start button; click on Run, and copy\paste the following:

Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao350.dll"

I need to uninstall UFB or move it to a new computer. How do I save my data?

Uninstalling and reinstalling will delete your data. Make sure you save it first.

You can use Data Export or you can save the all the files that end in .dbf, .dat and .mdx - the default location is C:\Program Files\School Services of California\UFB 5.1 (last folder name depends of version you have.) Install the program and then move the exported or saved files back to the default location.

If you are moving files to another computer, also move the C:\Program Files\School Services of California\UFB 5.1\My UFB documents folder.
