Field Poll Reflects Dramatic Economic Confidence. The California Field Poll reports that a whopping 70% of California's population believes that the State is experiencing good economic times...the most optimistic rating in the last 21 years.
Just five years ago, with the State still in the throes of a recession, 84% said California was experiencing bad economic times. The Field Poll results are about like the California school districts turnaround - from the doldrums of the early 1990s to the boom times four months before the next century.
