Student Fee Bill Signed Into Law. Governor Davis signed into law, AB 1118 (Reyes, D-Fresno) which reduces the systemwide enrollment fees for students enrolled in California Community Colleges from $12 to $11 per unit. This measure also reduces the systemwide fees by 5% for undergraduate students enrolled in the University of California and the California State University. AB 1118 is an urgency measure, which means it becomes effective upon the signature of the Governor. Community colleges are expected to implement the $11 per unit fee at the start of the Fall 1999 semester.
