Scott Hill Named Undersecretary of Education. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on April 11, 2007, announced the appointment of Scott Hill as Undersecretary of Education. Prior to the appointment, Hill was an education lobbyist in Sacramento. He served previously as the Chief Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction under Delaine Eastin.
Hill will work with newly appointed Secretary of Education David Long to improve student achievement, bring up low-performing schools, recruit and retain high quality teachers, promote career technology, and increase accountability.
Schools Services of California congratulates Mr. Hill on his appointment.
