Bid Limit Raised to $59,600. The bid limit was raised by 1.184% to $59,600, effective January 1, 2003 . This higher bid limit only applies to 1) the purchase of equipment, materials, and supplies; 2) services, except construction services; and 3) repairs, including maintenance as defined in Public Contract Code Section 20115. The $15,000 threshold for construction contracts under Section 20111(b) remains unchanged.

Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20111(d), the bid amount is increased annually by the Superintendent of Public Instruction for inflation at a rate that is computed on an annual basis and is thus different from the revenue limit COLA.
