Amended “Statement of Facts” Due Now. As a reminder, every public agency is required to file an amended “Statement of Facts Roster of Public Agencies Filing” (Statement of Facts) following its governing board’s annual organizational meeting.
Government Code (GC) Section 53051 requires the amended statement be filed with the Secretary of State and your County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk within ten days of your board’s annual organizational meeting.
To comply with GC Section 53051, the statement must contain the following facts:
1. The full legal name of the public agency.
2. The official mailing address of the governing body of the public agency.
3. The name and residence or business address of each member of the governing body of the public agency.
4. The name, title, and residence or business address of the chairman, president, or other presiding officer, and clerk or secretary of the governing body of the public agency.
