AB 1417 Accountability Report for California
Community Colleges. AB 1417 (Chapter 581/2004) requires the Board of
Governors (BOG) to provide recommendations, based on information to be developed
in a study to be conducted by the Chancellor of the California Community
Colleges, to the Legislature and the Governor regarding the design of a workable
structure for the annual evaluation of district-level performance in meeting
statewide educational outcome priorities.
The AB 1417 Accountability Report for Community Colleges (ARCC) study is due to the Legislature and Governor in March 2007. The California Community College System Office is preparing a draft of the study due for release on January 22, 2007. The System Office will be making field presentations of the draft during the end of January. These presentations are scheduled for January 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the North Orange County Community College District office in Anaheim (1830 Romneya Drive, Anaheim, CA 92801) and January 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the System Office in Sacramento (1102 Q Street). The presentations will provide information regarding the roles and responsibilities for the colleges and districts.
