California Community College Board of Governors Names Four Finalists for Interim Chancellor. The California Community College Board of Governors (BOG) is in the process of hiring an Interim Chancellor. The four candidates are:

Philip R. Day Jr.—Chancellor, City College of San Francisco
Benjamin T. Duran—Superintendent/President, Merced College
Robert Turnage—Senior Associate, MGT America, Inc., and former Vice Chancellor of College Finance and Facilities Planning, California Community Colleges System Office
Diane Woodruff—Vice President, Community College League of California, and former Superintendent/President, Napa Valley Community College District

The BOG will interview the finalists in a closed session meeting on Sunday, July 8, 2007. Once an Interim Chancellor has been selected, the BOG will begin a nationwide search for a permanent Chancellor. The Interim Chancellor is expected to serve for approximately one year.
