State Archives Includes Community Colleges. On October 30, 2008,
Secretary of State Debra Bowen announced newly processed California State
Archives collections. The four newly processed collections include 18 cubic feet
of textual records from the California Community Colleges (1959-1997). The
processing, along with the detailed guides to the collection, which are known as
“finding aids,” should make it easier for researchers to locate materials. The
Archives are located at 1020 O Street, near our offices in Sacramento—and are
open weekdays, as well as the first Saturday of the month. For office hours and
