John Rice Reappointed to The Board of Governors. Governor Wilson announced on March 20, the reappointment of John W. Rice, Jr., to the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges. Dr. Rice, a resident of Palo Alto, has served on the Board since 1992. He is semi-retired and serves an education consultant with Ravenswood Elementary School District and Standford University. Dr. Rice is currently serving as the Board's alternative representative to the California Postsecondary Education Commission (CPEC). Dr. Rice's term had expired on January 15, 1997, along with two other members of the Board. However, at this time the Governor has not announced their reappointment or replacement.
