BY THE WAY. . .

Governor's Legislative Secretary Moves to the Office of Child Development and Education. Glee Johnson, who for the last four years has been the Governor's Chief Deputy Legislative Secretary, will assume responsibilities in November 1996 as Undersecretary in the Office of Child Development and Education and, thus, as Marian Bergeson's Chief of Staff.

Glee has played a very major role in the Governor's Office on education legislation over most of the term of Governor Wilson. She has been a very helpful listener on education issues and was especially instrumental in engineering resolution of the Administration's biggest lawsuit, CTA v. Gould, and in promoting and developing the Governor's recommendations for the K-3 class-size reduction program.

Glee brings to Marian's Bergeson's office a wealth of valuable advice and counsel on education issues. Her many years serving as a member of the staff of the State Legislature and in the Governor's Office will give her a major role in Marian's new office.

SSC has had the opportunity of working with Glee on innumerable occasions and we look forward to continuing our positive relationship with her in the years ahead. We wish her the very best in her new role and express our appreciation for her open communications throughout her years with the Governor.
