New Group Life Insurance Program for School Agencies. Building on its success in the areas of liability and worker's compensation insurance, the Schools Excess Liability Fund (SELF) has announced that it is now offering a new group life insurance program for school employees and their dependents. SELF is a statewide joint powers authority serving K-14 public education. Through a pooled risk approach, SELF plans to provide group life coverage at low rates guaranteed over multiple years. The SELF program will be particularly attractive to smaller agencies that have historically paid higher rates in order to make this benefit available to their employees.
