Assistant Superintendent, Business Services
ABOUT THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Superintendent (or designee), the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services serves as chief administrator of the Business Services Division and supervises and coordinates fiscal services, facilities planning and construction, maintenance and operations, custodial services, food services, purchasing, the district warehouse, reprographics, student transportation, and risk management. ABOUT THE DISTRICT
Located in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains between the cities of San Bernardino and Palm Springs, the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District (District) serves the communities of Yucaipa, Calimesa, and Oak Glen. These close-knit, family-oriented areas consist mainly of single-family homes—some on large lots and some within planned communities—as well as a collection of retirement and family mobile home parks. The area is generally a middle-class bedroom community, with patches of high wealth and low-income mixed in. The District is the largest employer in the valley, with Sorenson Engineering and Stater Brothers Markets being the biggest private sector employers. The area prides itself on having a quiet, friendly, hometown atmosphere where youth sports, outdoor activities, and friends and family events take center stage.

The District has a General Fund budget of $138 million.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Master’s degree required.
- Experience Required: Five years of full-time school administrative or other related management service while under an authorized California Commission on Teacher Credentialing credential or under a Chief Business Official (CBO) certification or equivalent service. Background with a strong emphasis in school finance, the budgetary process, fiscal data processing, school facilities, and school law desired.
- Licenses, Certifications, and/or Testing Required: Certificate of completion of a state-approved CBO training course, and valid Administrative Services credential.
SALARY
The salary for this position is $222,617 annually. In addition to the salary, a comprehensive benefits package is offered. Additional earnings include a monthly allowance and cell phone stipend.
