Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services/Chief Business Officer
ABOUT THE POSITION
Under the general direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services/Chief Business Officer leads and manages business services departments and functions of the Sequoia Union High School District (District) to support current and evolving needs which include leading and managing assigned departmental systems and operations, including development and administration of the District’s budget and fiscal planning; accounting, payroll, purchasing, and contracting operations; attendance and enrollment accounting functions; logistics, reprographics, and transportation services; risk management; information technology services; nutrition services; and building services and capital facilities programs.

ABOUT THE DISTRICT
The District annually serves nearly 10,000 students in grades 9-12 in its four distinguished comprehensive high schools (Carlmont, Menlo-Atherton, Sequoia, and Woodside), a STEAM-focused school (TIDE Academy), a dependent charter school (East Palo Alto Academy), a continuation high school (Redwood), Middle College (in collaboration with Cañada College), and other specialized programs and services. The District is also the sponsoring agency for two independent charter high schools (Summit and KIPP). The District’s adult school, based in Redwood City, serves 2,000 students annually. The District draws most of its students from nine neighboring elementary/junior high school districts. Approximately 1,200 credentialed and classified staff members serve the students and community. The size of the District’s General Fund operating budget is $220 million. In addition, the District is supported by a bond.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible management experience as an assistant superintendent/chief business official in a public education setting, including responsibility and/or training in facilities program planning and school construction projects
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, public administration, or related field; master’s degree is preferred
SALARY
The salary range for this position is $243,286 to $279,887. In addition to the salary, the District offers an educational stipend and longevity stipend based on years of service in a local educational agency, as well as annual phone and car allowances. The District offers a generous benefit plan which pays 100% for medical, dental, and vision premiums for the employee and eligible dependents.
