The Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources leads and manages all district-wide human resources functions, providing strategic guidance and recommendations to the Superintendent and Governing Board while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws, Education Code, and collective bargaining agreements. This role oversees staffing, recruitment, credentialing, evaluations, discipline, layoffs, labor relations, and grievance processes, and serves as the district’s chief labor relations officer. The position supervises HR staff, manages HR budgets and personnel records, coordinates investigations and litigation with legal counsel, mediates employee conflicts, and develops policies and reports related to compensation, benefits, and risk management, all to support effective operations and a legally compliant, productive work environment.
