Assistant Superintendent, Business Services
ABOUT THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services plans, organizes, assigns, directs, and reviews the budget, facilities, maintenance and operations, information technology, child nutrition, and business services of the Hayward Unified School District (District). The position also participates in the development and implementation of policies and programs at the executive level in the overall support of student achievement. The District serves a diverse group of approximately 17,500 students in the heart of the East Bay and operates within a budget of $325 million while providing support services to 28 schools.

QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a field directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position; a master’s degree is desired
Any other combination of training and experience that demonstrates the applicant is likely to possess the required skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered
Certification or training as a district chief business official is desirable
At least four to five years’ experience with demonstrated success in financial and budgeting duties, preferably in a school setting
SALARY
The salary range for this position is $259,398 to $286,327. In addition to this salary, the District provides a contribution of up to $2500 per year towards a District healthcare plan or cash in lieu of up to $1350 per year; District-paid, employee-only dental coverage; and an annual $1600 mileage stipend.
