Raphael Guzman, Director, Management Consulting Services, brings over 17 years of experience in public education finance and operations, including 5 years serving in Chief Business Official (CBO)-level roles within California school districts. Throughout his career, Raphael has provided executive oversight of district business operations, including finance and fiscal services, facilities and construction, maintenance and operations, technology, food services, purchasing, risk management, transportation, warehouse services, and charter school fiscal oversight. 

Raphael began his career in hands-on roles within payroll and accounting and gained broad experience across nearly every functional area of the business office before progressively advancing into leadership positions; this equips him with a rare perspective of bridging day-to-day operations with executive-level strategy and leadership.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Raphael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He completed the School Business Management Certificate Program at the University of Southern California and is a Certified CBO through the California Association of School Business Officials.
