Instructional time, attendance, and teacher supervision requirements play a critical role in promoting equitable, high-quality instruction and supporting student engagement across California. Because these requirements are closely tied to average daily attendance (ADA)—the primary driver of Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) funding—noncompliance can result in significant fiscal impacts for local educational agencies (LEAs).
This course, which is a companion to Attendance Accounting and Instructional Time held in the fall, will provide essential guidance to help LEAs plan for the upcoming school year, align instructional time and supervision requirements, and maximize attendance outcomes. Attendees will gain practical tools and insights to support compliance while strengthening fiscal stability and program effectiveness.
